Long-Serving Rep. Kaptur Hospitalized After Toledo Hit-and-Run

Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Ohio was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Toledo while traveling to a church service; she and her campaign manager were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable, non-life-threatening condition as police investigate. A longtime Democrat, Kaptur expressed gratitude for first responders and said she looks forward to resuming her schedule, with her reelection bid against Republican Derek Merrin in this year’s race.
