Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has lost his appeal to move the state election interference charges against him in Georgia to federal court. The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a ruling stating that Meadows must face the charges in state court, as he did not demonstrate that his alleged conduct was related to his official duties. Meadows, along with former President Donald Trump and 17 others, was indicted in August on charges of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results. Four defendants have pleaded guilty, while Meadows and the remaining defendants have pleaded not guilty.
