Massachusetts primary roundup: Markey wins Senate seat as Healey and Minogue secure governors' nominations

In Massachusetts’ primary, Sen. Ed Markey defeated Rep. Seth Moulton to win the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, while most House incumbents prevailed (with several races decided or uncontested). Notable House results included Richard Neal in District 1, Jim McGovern in District 2, Jake Auchincloss in District 4, Katherine Clark in District 5, Stephen Lynch in District 8, Bill Keating in District 9, Ayanna Pressley in District 7, and Lori Trahan in District 3; Dan Koh defeated Tram Nguyen in District 6. Republican John Deaton ran uncontested for the Senate nomination, and in the governor’s race, Democrat Maura Healey won her nomination uncontested, while Republican Michael Minogue captured the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
