Matt Gaetz Faces Allegations of Paying for Sex Parties with Witness

The House Ethics Committee is investigating Rep. Matt Gaetz based on text messages between him and a woman who claims she was paid to attend drug-fueled sex parties with Gaetz and others in his circle. The woman's attorney confirmed that she received payments for attending multiple parties and provided evidence to the Justice Department as part of its child sex trafficking inquiry into Gaetz. The Ethics Committee is reviewing this evidence as part of its inquiry into whether Gaetz paid for sex with women and an underage teen, as well as other allegations including public corruption and habitual use of hard drugs. Gaetz's close associate, Joel Greenberg, has already pleaded guilty to child sex trafficking and implicated Gaetz in paying for sex with a 17-year-old.
