McCarthy Pushes Back Against Boebert's Push to Impeach Biden

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged House Republicans to reject Rep. Lauren Boebert's push to impeach President Joe Biden, calling for the effort to move through House committees instead. Boebert introduced articles of impeachment against Biden over his handling of the southern border, which the White House called a "baseless political stunt." McCarthy warned that the move could threaten Republicans' slim majority in the House and urged Boebert to work through the House Oversight Committee. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has also pushed to impeach Biden, along with several other administration officials.
