Mike Johnson Defends Trump's Disruptive Cabinet Picks Amid Controversy
TL;DR
CNN's Jake Tapper questioned House Speaker Mike Johnson on his support for Donald Trump's controversial Cabinet nominations, challenging how they align with Johnson's Christian values. The discussion included the ethics investigation into Matt Gaetz, Trump's Attorney General pick, accused of sexual misconduct. Johnson defended the nominations as necessary disruptors and argued against releasing the Gaetz report, citing protocol and Gaetz's resignation. Tapper noted precedents for releasing such reports, but Johnson maintained his stance against it.
