Minnesota Senate Approves Recreational Cannabis Legalization Bill by One Vote Margin.

The Minnesota Senate passed a bill legalizing recreational marijuana for adult use with a 34-33 vote along party lines. The Senate's version includes a 10% tax on cannabis products and allows people to have up to five pounds of cannabis in their home. Local governments would also be allowed to limit the number of cannabis businesses under the Senate's plan. The House and Senate will now work out their differences before a final version heads to the governor's desk. If signed into law, Minnesota would become the 23rd state to legalize marijuana.
