Missouri bans transgender healthcare and sports participation.

Missouri lawmakers have passed two bills that ban gender-affirming health care for transgender minors and prevent transgender girls and women from playing on female sports teams. The ban on gender-affirming care also affects some adults, and Medicaid health care won't cover any gender-affirming care in the state. Both measures would expire in 2027. At least 16 states have now enacted laws restricting or banning gender-affirming care for minors, and several states are still considering bills this year to restrict or ban care.
