NAACP issues travel warning for Florida due to discrimination against black and LGBTQ individuals.

Democratic Party strategist Aisha C. Mills said on MSNBC that Florida under GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis was “about to be a terrorist state” for black and LGBTQ people, despite admitting to traveling there for spring break. The NAACP recently issued a travel advisory warning that the state was “openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals.” The warning was criticized by Republicans, including Rep. Byron Donalds, who called it “silly” and “dumb.”
