"Newly Revealed Trump Call Shows Continued Efforts to Overturn Election Results"

A special grand jury in Georgia investigating efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election heard a recording of a phone call between Trump and Georgia's House speaker at the time, David Ralston, in which Ralston resisted Trump's requests to convene a special session of the legislature to overturn Joe Biden's narrow election win. The existence of the recording had not been previously reported. The recording is one of at least three calls Trump made to Georgia officials seeking to overturn the state's election results. Prosecutors are considering whether Trump and his allies broke the law.
