NH Primary Sees Democrats Outpace Republicans by 40,000 Votes

New Hampshire’s primary produced a sizable turnout edge for Democrats, who cast roughly 153,343 votes in the Senate races to Republicans’ 111,018 (about 38% more). Key results: Republicans backed John Sununu over Scott Brown for the Senate nomination; Democrats backed Chris Pappas over Karishma Manzur; in the 1st District, Stefany Shaheen won the Democratic nomination over Maura Sullivan, and Anthony DiLorenzo won the GOP nomination; in the 2nd District, Maggie Goodlander won the Democratic nomination and Lily Tang Williams the GOP nomination.
