Peter Thiel's Surprising Take on Trump's Administration and Campaign Funding
TL;DR
Peter Thiel revealed in an interview with The Atlantic that he refused to donate to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, prompting Trump to call him a "fucking scumbag." Thiel, a prominent venture capitalist, has a history of supporting controversial Republican candidates. Trump had previously reminded Thiel of his support for other candidates and asked for a similar donation, but Thiel declined. The Atlantic also reported that Trump discouraged one of Thiel's protégés, Blake Masters, from running for Senate again. Thiel criticized the Trump administration's effectiveness and declined to comment on reports that he was an FBI informant.
