Raman closes gap on Pratt in LA mayoral primary as more votes counted

With about 83.2% of ballots counted, Nithya Raman overtook Spencer Pratt for second place in the Los Angeles mayoral primary, while incumbent Karen Bass maintained a lead and is projected to advance to the November runoff. Raman holds about 27.1% of votes to Pratt's 26.7%, a lead of roughly 3,100 ballots, keeping the race for the final runoff spot in flux as results continue to come in.
