The Nevada Secretary of State's office acknowledged providing inaccurate guidance to Kennedy's campaign regarding the requirement for a vice presidential candidate on the petition. Despite the error, the office stated that it was up to Kennedy's campaign to follow the statute. Kennedy is currently only on the ballot in Utah and plans to name his running mate in Oakland.
