Schwarzenegger endorses Newsom for presidential run.

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has said that a presidential run by current Governor Gavin Newsom is a "no-brainer". Schwarzenegger, who ran the state for eight years, also discussed his exercise regime and plans to "live forever". Newsom is seen as a credible alternative to Joe Biden, but may wait until 2028 to run for president. Schwarzenegger declined to criticise Newsom's performance, saying that governors know how tough the job is. He was mildly critical of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who he said was too conservative for his taste.
