Sen. Sinema Firmly Rejects Joining Republican Party for Re-Election Bid

Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, who left the Democratic Party last year and registered as an independent, said she has no plans to switch to the Republican Party as she weighs a re-election bid in 2024. Sinema called both parties "broken" and said she is "absolutely" done with party affiliation. Her campaign has raised over $2.1 million in the first quarter of this year, with over half of that coming from donors who gave at least $3,300.
