TL;DR
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani marked pool openings by diving into a city pool in a suit, but the moment quickly devolved into a political confrontation with Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman over Blakeman’s remarks about DSA-backed candidate Brad Lander; Mamdani defended Lander as a proud Jewish New Yorker and denounced Blakeman’s comments as unacceptable, while Blakeman dismissed Mamdani’s credibility.
