Supreme Court's Recent Environmental Rulings Cause Controversy.

The Supreme Court has limited the Environmental Protection Agency's power to regulate bodies of water under the Clean Water Act. Justice Clarence Thomas suggested that the Court could have gone further in cutting the agency's authority. Thomas and Justice Neil Gorsuch pushed for even less regulatory power, suggesting that the Constitution's Commerce Clause is being used too broadly. The conservative-dominated Supreme Court has been limiting federal powers, and may soon get a chance to scale back federal power not just for the EPA, but for all regulatory agencies.
