Texas Governor Sends Migrants on Bus to Los Angeles as Border Message

Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent a group of 42 migrants, including children, to downtown Los Angeles, citing California's "sanctuary" status for immigrants. The migrants were cared for by city agencies and charitable organizations. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the move a "despicable stunt" and said the city would not be intimidated. This is not the first time GOP governors have transported asylum-seekers to states led by Democrats, with Florida and Arizona also sending buses from the border to other cities.
