Emails from Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop show that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his wife, Evan Ryan, had frequent communication with Hunter dating back over a decade, including scheduling meetings while Blinken was deputy secretary of state and Hunter was on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. The ties between Blinken and Hunter Biden could face increased scrutiny after former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell testified that Blinken played a role in the inception of the public statement signed by intelligence officials claiming Hunter’s abandoned laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign just weeks before the 2020 presidential election. The meeting between Blinken and Hunter reportedly didn’t take place in May 2015 due to the death of Hunter's older brother, but it was later scheduled for July 22, 2015. It’s unclear what was discussed during the meeting.
