TL;DR

Former Nevada Attorney General and longtime Trump ally Adam Laxalt will lead the Never Back Down PAC, which is encouraging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. Laxalt and DeSantis were roommates in naval officer training and both served in Iraq. The PAC has raised $30 million and is divided into two wings, one of which is raising money for DeSantis and the other is running pro-DeSantis ads and pushing back against Trump.
