"Trump and Tucker Carlson Reunite to Upstage Republican Debate with Controversial Interview"
TL;DR
Donald Trump confirms that he will be interviewed by Tucker Carlson during the Republican presidential debate, which he is skipping. Trump's decision to counter-program the debate with the interview is seen as a dig at Fox News, and his absence is expected to be a topic of discussion during the debate. Trump's campaign also criticized Fox News for their coverage and predicted an "unnatural obsession" with Trump during the debate. Additionally, Trump's upcoming legal issues in Georgia are likely to dominate the news cycle, overshadowing post-debate coverage.
