TL;DR

Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Bernie Moreno in the Ohio Senate GOP primary, describing him as a "successful political outsider" and the type of "MAGA fighter" needed in the Senate. Trump's endorsement came after a meeting with Ohio Sen. JD Vance, who had urged Trump to endorse Moreno. Moreno is running in a crowded Republican primary to unseat Democratic incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown. Trump's approach to endorsements for the 2024 races is more cautious compared to the 2022 midterm election cycle.
