Former President Donald Trump called New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit against him "ridiculous" and repeated his claim that she is "racist" before being deposed in connection with a $250 million civil case. Trump raised his fist in defiance before the deposition and used a sign of defiance heavily associated with black power movements. The civil case accuses Trump and three of his children of overvaluing his assets by billions of dollars to get favorable loans. Trump is under multiple other federal and local criminal cases tied to his alleged efforts to interfere with the 2020 election and hoard classified documents.
