Trump Dominates 2024 Republican Poll with 36% Lead over DeSantis

Former President Donald Trump has a 36% lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a new 2024 Republican presidential poll, with Trump's support at 58% of GOP voters compared to just 22% for DeSantis. The CBS News/YouGov poll of 2,372 voters shows that Trump has consolidated his position as the overwhelming favorite in the GOP race to take on President Joe Biden. DeSantis has been put on his heels by his damaging feud with Disney and other perceived stumbles, but remains the strong choice of the about 1 in 4 minority of GOP voters who definitely do not support Trump.
