"Trump Endorses Hoekstra as Michigan GOP Chair, Backs Removal of Karamo"
TL;DR
Former President Donald Trump endorsed Pete Hoekstra as the chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, amid a dispute with Kristina Karamo, who claims she is still the chair. The Republican National Committee (RNC) sent a letter indicating that Karamo had been "properly removed," but Karamo and her allies vehemently denied this. Trump's endorsement of Hoekstra could have significant implications as both are allies of the former president, who is expected to win Michigan's nominating process. The dispute continues as both factions fight in court, with Trump's support potentially weakening Karamo's standing within the state GOP.
