Trump Forms National Task Force to Eliminate Federal Benefit Fraud

President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order creating the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud to coordinate across federal agencies in order to curb fraud, waste, and abuse in federal benefit programs. Chaired by the Vice President with the FTC Chair as Vice Chair, the task force will strengthen eligibility verification, implement pre‑payment controls, detect high‑risk fraud trends, and develop minimum anti‑fraud requirements, while providing regular updates to the President.
