Trump Indictment Sparks Concerns of Violence and Political Fallout

Conservative lawmakers and personalities in California, including Rep. Tom McClintock and Larry Elder, criticized the latest indictment of former President Donald Trump on seven counts related to his handling of certain classified documents. McClintock called it a hallmark of leftist regimes and a corruption of the justice system, while Elder made dubious claims and an O.J. Simpson joke. Rep. Ken Calvert also called the investigation partisan. Trump is the first former president in U.S. history to be indicted on federal charges and is expected to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday.
