Trump pitches Lincoln Memorial promenade to connect to the Potomac
TL;DR
Trump floated a new DC redevelopment plan to add a pedestrian promenade named the “Trump Promenade” linking the Lincoln Memorial to the Potomac, with footbridges over Parkway Drive and Ohio Drive as part of ongoing Mall renovations overseen by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum; the project would advance the McMillan Plan’s original vision and comes alongside proposals to reshape the reflecting pool and add a 250-foot arch near Arlington, though no timeline or agency responses were provided.
