Trump Predicts a Woke Reboot If He Wins Office
TL;DR
Trump told Fox News that ‘the woke’ will come back “as soon as they get elected,” calling the earlier woke era “Woke 1.0” crazy. He cited Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s comments and suggested Democrats are trying to distance themselves from woke ideas ahead of the midterms, while also asserting Ocasio-Cortez could run for president. The piece situates his remarks amid a broader discussion of crime policy and Democratic messaging during the 2020s.
