Trump Threatens to Prosecute Political Rivals if Reelected in 2024

Former President Donald Trump suggested that if he wins the 2024 election, he would use the powers of the FBI and Justice Department to go after his political rivals, claiming they had already done the same to him. Trump stated that prosecutors pursued indictments against him "in order to win an election" and that he would not rule out doing the same if he were to be president again. He called the indictments brought against him "pathetic" and accused them of being politically motivated. Trump is currently leading President Biden in six out of seven battleground states.
