"Trump's Attempt to Ease Tension Between MTG and Speaker Johnson Reveals Deeper GOP Divide"
TL;DR
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been threatening to oust Speaker Mike Johnson from his chair, citing disagreements over GOP priorities. Donald Trump attempted to ease tensions by publicly endorsing Johnson, stating that Greene sympathizes with the challenges of his role. However, Greene criticized Johnson on a talk show, calling him "full of shit" and expressing frustration with the passage of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Greene's threats to remove Johnson have caused friction within the Republican party and among those in Trump's circle.
