Trump's Classified Documents Inquiry Takes a Darker Turn with New Revelations.
A voice memo recorded by former President Donald Trump's lawyer, M. Evan Corcoran, about his legal work last year has been handed over to prosecutors investigating Trump's handling of classified documents. The recording, which covers Corcoran's recollections of a meeting with Trump in May last year to discuss a subpoena seeking the return of classified materials, was ordered to be given to the special counsel Jack Smith by a federal judge in March. The recording could play a central role in concluding the investigation and potentially bringing charges against Trump. The recording has unnerved some of Trump's aides who are worried it contains direct quotes from sensitive conversations.
