Speaker Kevin McCarthy hosted a series of meetings with President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, becoming the most senior elected official to meet with a Taiwanese president on American soil since the United States established diplomatic relations with Beijing.
