White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Addresses President and First Lady's Hawaii Trip

President Biden and First Lady will travel to Maui to meet with first responders, survivors, and officials to assess the impacts of the deadly wildfires and discuss recovery efforts. The President has been in close contact with FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, Hawaii Senators Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz, and Governor Josh Green, and has committed to providing federal support to Hawaii as they recover from the disaster.
