"Xiong and Herzberg Secure Democratic Wins in Michigan House Special Election Primaries"

Westland City Councilman Peter Herzberg and Macomb County Commissioner Mai Xiong won the Democratic primaries for the 25th and 13th House Districts in Michigan, respectively, and are expected to win the April general elections in the Democratic-leaning House districts. The winners will serve partial terms and need to run again in the August primary and November general election to retain their seats. The House Democrats hope the April elections will break the current 54-54 tie and restore their narrow majority.
