California Nurse's Costa Rica Vacation Turns Tragic with Severe Spinal Cord Injury.

Deanne Niedziela, an Orange County nurse, has returned home after suffering a severe spinal cord injury during a freak accident in Costa Rica. She was paralyzed from the chest down and underwent a 9-hour surgery. Niedziela hopes to make a full recovery through rehab and is grateful for the outpouring of support from the community. A GoFundMe fundraiser was created to help get her to a rehab center in Colorado.
