Ex-Obama Official's Islamophobic Harassment of Halal Cart Vendor Caught on Camera

Stuart Seldowitz, a former State Department employee and national security official, was recorded on video harassing a halal food vendor in Manhattan, making Islamophobic comments and calling the man a "terrorist." The videos spread online during a period of heightened tensions between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups, with increased anti-Islamic and antisemitic hate crimes in New York City. The police have been made aware of the videos, but no reports have been filed against Seldowitz. The vendor asked him to leave and threatened to call the police. Seldowitz claimed the incidents started after a conversation about the vendor's support for Hamas, but the videos do not capture this. Seldowitz insisted he was not Islamophobic despite derogatory comments about Islam's founder.
