"NSA Launches AI Security Hub to Safeguard National Interests"

The US National Security Agency (NSA) has announced the establishment of an artificial intelligence (AI) security centre to oversee the development and integration of AI capabilities within US defence and intelligence services. NSA Director Paul Nakasone emphasized the importance of maintaining the US advantage in AI development and the growing threat posed by China. The centre will focus on promoting the secure adoption of new AI capabilities across the national security enterprise and the defence industry base. Nakasone highlighted the need to understand AI vulnerabilities and foreign intelligence threats to ensure AI security. The NSA chief also stated that while AI assists in analysis, final decisions are made by humans.
