E-bike fire claims two young lives in Queens.

A fire in Queens caused by an e-bike killed a 7-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl, while injuring another victim. The fire started in the vestibule and traveled upstairs where a father and his five children lived. Investigators believe an e-bike was charging inside the vestibule by the front door, and when the battery blew, the family's escape route was blocked. This is the 59th fire this year caused by a lithium-ion battery, and the FDNY is urging people to follow all manufacturer safety guidelines and recommendations.
