Fatal Capsizing of Pontoon Boat During Storm

A 26-foot double-decker pontoon boat capsized near Deepwater Point at the mouth of Grand Lagoon in Panama City, Florida, throwing all nine passengers into the water. Two people, an adult woman and a girl, died from their injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Another boat overturned during the stormy weather, but no one was injured in that incident.
