Good Samaritan killed while helping ducks cross California street

A California man, Casey Rivara, was killed after he stopped his car to help a mother duck and her ducklings cross the road safely. After ensuring the ducks made it across, he was walking back to his car when he was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene. The driver of the car that hit Rivara, a 17-year-old girl, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
