Tragic Death of 8-Year-Old Boy in Air Rifle Mishap

An 8-year-old boy in Arizona was killed by a pellet from a high-powered air rifle. The incident occurred in St. David, Cochise County, and the boy was shot in the center of his chest cavity. Life-saving measures were attempted, but he died about an hour later at a local hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
