Tragic Floods in Mexico Claim Lives of Woman and Granddaughter

The bodies of 61-year-old Judy Richards and her 20-year-old granddaughter, Ciara Cooper, have been recovered from the Swift River in Mexico after their truck was swept away by floodwaters while attempting to cross a bridge during a storm. Richards was described as a caring person who loved her grandchildren, while Cooper had recently graduated from high school. Two other passengers in the truck were able to escape and are expected to recover. The incident is part of a larger storm that caused flooding and power outages across Maine, resulting in four deaths.
