The accident occurred when his sled crossed into a road, and he was struck by the vehicle. Adam was hospitalized but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident, which tragically echoes a similar sledding accident that resulted in a fatality in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, nearly two years ago.
