Tragic Maine Crash Claims Life of 8-Year-Old Massachusetts Boy

An 8-year-old Massachusetts boy was killed and three others were seriously injured in a high-speed crash in Rumford, Maine, where alcohol is suspected to have played a role. The crash involved a Subaru driven by a 42-year-old man from Hopedale, Massachusetts, and a Volvo driven by a local resident. The boy was unresponsive at the scene and later died despite resuscitation efforts. The driver, his 5-year-old son, and the other driver were all hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
