Multiple Amtrak Trains Derail in Southern California After Colliding with Vehicles

An Amtrak train carrying nearly 200 passengers derailed in Southern California after colliding with a water truck, but there were no major injuries reported. Three of the train's seven cars went off the tracks, and eight people were transported to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. Most passengers were able to exit the train on their own or with the help of first responders. Amtrak is working with customers to make alternate travel arrangements and conducting a full investigation into the incident.
