DFW Looks to Add Pre-Security Ablution Stations for Muslim Travelers

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is evaluating adding an additional ablution (foot-washing) station on the pre-security side of Terminal D for Muslim travelers, supplementing two existing post-security stations. The proposal is still under review and has not been approved; airport officials estimate funding around $120,000, to be covered by the airport (not taxpayer dollars). Two stations were previously added to the Interfaith Chapel in 2019, and DFW remains one of the world’s busiest airports.
