Five killed as Amazon-branded cargo jet overruns Miami runway, cleaners in van among victims

Five people were killed when an Amazon-branded Boeing 767-300 cargo plane overran the runway on landing at Miami International Airport, striking a van carrying five employees of Professional Ocean Service Corp., a contract cleaning company for airlines, and a nearby SUV; five others were injured. The victims identified were Rolando Aleman Leon (55), Yoel Rodriguez Narajo (53), Julio C Pineda (75), Carlos Acosta Fajardo (53), and Javierk Reyes Quevedo (47). Pilots Jaime Felipe Silva Molina (37) and Joseph Carol (55) were treated and released. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation, and authorities say the flight was on its third trip that day, having traveled from Cincinnati to Miami to San Juan, Puerto Rico before the crash.
