Indiana mother of seven found dead in Mexico after months-long disappearance

An Indiana mother of seven, Makala Pendley, who had been missing in Mexico since February, was found dead. Mexican authorities say her partner has been detained and her children's father was arrested; Pendley’s relatives say she faced a very toxic relationship, and her children were briefly taken into custody in Mexico but were later returned and placed under protection.
